I Found It

I have been looking for the name of the person who sings the song “Go Baby.” It’s Lupe Fiasco.
I heard it in my cousin’s car but I didn’t know who sings it — just knew that I like.

I love that song, too. I think it’s hot. It’s good driving music. I like his other music, too but XXX so I won’t post it. I like the way the words and the music fit together and I like a good amount of what is being said.

I like it too. It’s marathon music. Closing the deal. Coming through.
Wishful thinking.

Vanessa — maybe you should get away for a couple of days. Go to the conference.

You know how I love a man with a gun, BeBe. Stop teasing me.

I saw “Wishful Drinking” by and about Carrie Fischer. She was describing what bi-polar feels like and I wish I could remember (I will find out) what she said. It had to to do with waves.

Three men that I can recall at this moment have said to me at some point in my life … “I’m not messing with your head.”
Or the equivalent, “I’m not trying to hurt you.”
Probably a lot more than that but the number isn’t important.
After hearing this from them about a dozen times — I finally conclude that if they don’t recognize how or why they’re hurting me — then it must mean they don’t know better.
Once I come to this point - I don’t look back.
Permalink8
In fact — my latest said, “I know you think I’m messing with your head –but I’m not.”
Really? If it feels like he is — then he is.
Permalink9
“I know you think I’m messing with your head.”
Does he think he is going to convince me I feel otherwise?
Kind of delusional on his part. I knew he was a liar — but the delusional part took me by surprise.

Been there, too, Amber.

I thought about Sweet Talker when I was driving today. There was snow on the ground and I thought about how nice it would be if he was with me (he would be driving). Listening to music. Listening to him sing.
Then I remembered having fantasized that years and years ago — and it never happened.

Let me see if I can find a song that I have been listening to in my brother’s car….
Permalink13
Decided to post this song instead — I thought it might make you smile, Van. At the very least - I know it will make you dance.

I love it BeBe!
I’ll dance on sweet talker’s grave to Mambo Number 5. I’ve heard the song many times before — but never listened to the words.
Interesting, too — I think the number 5 was sweet talker’s lucky number.
I’ll dance to that.

I think I’ll dance to it now, Vanessa…

My turn to dance, Van…. I think I’ll take a crap on his grave, too.

Wow, Bryan. I’ve never heard you talk like that before.
Permalink18
Sweet talker was bad news, BeBe. He was NEVER there for Vanessa. He hurt her repeatedly. I couldn’t care less about what people think about me for taking a crap on his grave.
I think I’ll tell the dog walkers in the cemetery to curb the dogs on his grave stone. That’s what I think about dead sweet talker.
Permalink19
BTW - I found out why they knocked him off. I’ll tell you later.
Permalink20
I can just imagine….
Permalink21
Angel — you knew sweet talker — was he on the short list of longtime liars?
Permalink22
no he was on the LONG list because they are ALL liars!
Permalink23
Good point. I can see you have known some liars in your life.
Permalink24
Talk about liars…. I just saw the movie “NINE.”
Slow at the beginning — but after awhile it became apparent that Danielle Day Lewis’ character was a compilation of all the lying men I have known.
Really sad — how many women are hurt by men who lie.
Permalink25
Vanessa — you saw NINE. Remind you of any liars in your life, dead or alive?
Permalink26
Sure did, Amber. I thought about our dear dead friend, sweet talker.
At one point Daniel Day Lewis’ wife told him she gave so much to him — that she was empty.
I know the feeling.
Permalink27
Empty.
Permalink28
Penelope Cruz was so pretty in NINE. And Daniel Day Lewis’ wife — she was pretty too. Don’t know her name. Fergie was Fergie. Kate Hudson did a good job, too. I almost left because it was slow getting started — but it picked up momentum.

Oh.. and Judy Dench was outstanding. She was the star.

I am trying online dating again. 3rd time. Disastrous in past. Maybe get lucky this time. Tired of no sex.
Permalink31
Good luck Milicia. You deserve a good man. A smart one, too.
Permalink32
It was worse the disastrous. I never put my picture up — just went on to see what was out there. Saw one man who was still there. I Emailed him blah blah. He said he wanted to get together the next day because he works near where I live. Next day — he says… maybe tomorrow. He told me call him on his cell at 12:30 PM to make plans to meet.
Well… I called. I said, “Hi, it’s Milicia.”
He said “Who?”
I told him again. SILENCE.
He said, Oh yeah.. I’ll have to get back to you later.
So I cancelled my dating account, blocked my Email so he couldn’t Email me, and blocked his phone number so he couldn’t call.
Permalink33
wow.. what a jerk. Sounds like every other man we seem to blog about.
Permalink34
You know what, Bebe — I don’t think he’s the person in the picture. I told him I thought I had seen him in my neighborhood last year, (Except he looked a lot older than his picture.) He said he doesn’t go to the restaurant where I thought I saw him.
Permalink35
Don’t keep banging your hard head against the wall, Milicia.
xoxoxo

I think I might have just figured something out…
Some of the men who I know feel sick a lot. I think it’s a brush-off. They say it’s not — but it is. They put off face to face meetings because they don’t want to see me.
Of course there are always the exceptions — in fact I would rather have them fake not feeling well rather than really not feel well…. especially when I like them.
Sweet-talker use to pull that with you a lot, Vanessa. I don’t think it’s just sweet-talker.
Permalink37
You know BeBe? The online jpeg impostor did the same thing. Except he went into graphic detail that I had NO interest in hearing. GiGi was at my house and she heard the conversation and we both almost gagged after I hung up the phone.
Maybe that was his real intent. To totally gross me out so I would never want to meet him.
I’ll bump into him if he looks like an older, more bloated image than his picture. I hope it’s a good hair day, for me.
ME: You look familiar?
HE: A lot of people say that
ME: No — I’ve seen you before. Oh… I know where I know you from. The online dating site. Good picture.
And walk away.

He served a purpose. He took the focus off of the last man. Another man removed from the last of the removed. Clearing my lying man brain cache.
Some come back into my life from time to time. But they’re still liars and I know it and they’re more an annoyance than good for me.
Permalink39
That won’t be the case with sweet-talker. He’s been dead for a month, today.
What do you think, Bryan.

You’re not over him, Vanessa.
He’s dead and his lies still hurt you. I am sorry he did that to you.
Permalink41
What do I think, Vanessa?
I think I’m going to encourage the cemetery workers to use his grave as their own personal porta-potty. That’s what I think.
Permalink42
Let’s dance one more time on his grave before the cemetery workers come back to work tomorrow morning.
